Raised on a farm in Middle America during the Great Depression, just outside of Fillmore, Indiana, near Greencastle. the county seat. No brothers and sisters. My mother won a custody battle when I was seven and we moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. When I was 14 years of age, we moved to Troy, New York. 

Entered the Army in 1944. Served in the Philippines and Okinawa. Returned and was discharged in April of 1947.

 Perkins School Of Theology (1964 - 1967)    Southern Methodist University

 First person in the History of the " Top Ten Theological Schools" To be granted a " Graduate Degree " without a High School Diploma and Four Years of College.

In light of my scores from a week long of testing ( Both written and oral ). Which had been arranged by the Faculty of the Psychological Department of Southern Methodist University. I was admitted to "Perkins", in 1964.
